Donato is a native Arizonan, born and raised in Scottsdale. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from San Jose State University and his Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law. Before practicing law, Donato competed professionally as an outfielder in the Los Angeles Angels Organization — an experience that instilled the same discipline and work ethic he brings to his legal practice today.
After law school, Donato began his legal career at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, where he gained extensive courtroom experience litigating a wide range of cases. From there, Donato went on to hold leadership roles at several well-respected personal injury firms across the valley, before bringing that experience to Shapiro Law Team. That breadth of experience — across different firms, different cases, and different client needs — has given Donato a well-rounded perspective that few attorneys can match.
Today, Donato focuses exclusively on representing seriously injured clients and their families. Over the course of his career, he has recovered tens of millions of dollars for his clients — a track record built on thorough preparation, aggressive negotiation, and an unwillingness to accept less than what his clients deserve.
